Jewel Tones

Considering I spend the majority of my time in either ballet shoes or sneakers, I tend to gravitate towards heels whenever I am getting dressed up.

I bought this dress last year to wear when I was visiting Claudia in London. Like all Cameo clothes, the fabric is thick and sits perfectly. The hemline was shorter than what I’d normally go for, but with such a full skirt I thought it made the dress cute and fun, plus I loved the off-the-shoulder neckline.

When I wore this dress in London, I wore it with heels, but putting it on again for dinner with Chelsey, I decided I was going to try it with flats. Proportionately they worked, probably better than the heels because of the shorter hemline of the dress.

I was on the hunt for some rose gold jewellery to work in with the colour of my shoes, and when I found these earrings and ring in Tree of Life, although not at all what I had been envisaging, I leapt on them.

Chelsey and I made a friend whilst taking these photos. We had pulled over to a park and had just started taking shots on the basketball court when a young girl came riding up on her bike. She was very inquisitive and certainly not shy about letting us know how strange she thought we were.

She asked questions that made me feel completely transparent to her – I was almost squirming under her scrutiny! I didn’t catch her name, but Chelsey and I had a good giggle about some of her questions over dinner. I hope we made as much of an impression on her as she made on us.
