Sometimes I go shopping and I can’t find a single thing I want in the whole centre. Other times I come out and all passers-by can see are my legs as they run towards my car beneath my heap of purchases.
For some reason, the week before I go on Christmas holidays is always like this. Maybe it’s because I subconsciously know that I won’t be doing any shopping for about a month, or maybe I just get swept up in Christmas-shopping mania, either way, every year without fail I get sucked in.
This year though, for the first time, I managed to walk out with an entire outfit rather than a heap of random bits and pieces.
Two weeks down the track and I think I have found my favourite jeans of all time. They are ankle grazers, which I think is wonderful for those of us that are vertically challenged and can’t find a pair of jeans that don’t puddle at the bottom. Plus they are a little bit stretchy and the material is super soft. Potential to be pizza-wearing attire? I think so.
I’ve also worn these shoes almost every day since I bought them. They’re still sandals and casual enough that I can get away with wearing them during the day, and even better they tick all my shoe-buying boxes. Comfortable? Check. Versatile? Check. Perfect colour? Check. A strap across the toes to contain my super-wide foot? Check, check, check.
To finish the outfit off I found a bag that (dare I say it) goes with everything, and my favourite piece for this season- a floral Zimmermann top so pretty I still sort of sigh every time I see it in my wardrobe.
