Wildflowers

I have always been a fan of florals, in pretty pastels or bright colours. At the moment however, I’m crushing huge on the more sophisticated, artistic and muted palette of Autumn.

Thank you, Forever New, for delivering yet again. This dress is the perfect trans-seasonal piece. Light enough to be worn in the Australian heat, but pair it with boots and a jacket and voila, it’s perfect for the cooler months. It’s also one of those pieces that you’ve probably spent your life reading about in magazines: if you add the right accessories, you can get the whole pretty-with-a-touch-of-edgy thrown in.

For the moment though, I’m sticking to pretty-with-a-touch-of-a-pretty, and there’s nothing prettier than delicate little pieces of fine jewellery. I’ve always gravitated more towards these sort of pieces than statement jewellery, and at the moment it seems my preferences are being catered to. Rings, necklaces and bracelets that you can mix and match, layer and play with are everywhere, but no one does them better than Samantha Wills. Whether you’re a fan of rose gold, yellow gold or silver, pearls or semi-precious stones, Samantha Wills has you covered. When I look at the pieces, I like each one more than the last and making a decision is almost painful.

What’s a girl to do but steadily grow her collection?
