The Perfect Party Dress

Everyone loves a good party, right? I do too, except I’m usually a pyjama-party-for-one-with-a-tub-of-ice-cream kind of girl rather than the paint-the-town-red kind.

But when one of my past students turned 18, I had to make an exception. It sounds like I’m complaining, and I’m honestly not. This blog wouldn’t even exist if I didn’t love dressing up, it’s just that I’m not usually a party-goer, and my wardrobe reflects this.

So off I went to look for something suitable. I think the perfect party dress should grab attention, and the best way to do this is to dress in a bright colour, or pick something with a little bit of sparkle.

Dress, Sass and Bide, Heels, Forever New (similar here), Necklace, Swarovski, Bangle, Swarovski, Earrings, Swarovski, Clutch, Oroton

Why go for a Little Black Dress (something you know several other people are going to be in) when you could wear something fit for a Disco Queen. I found my dress in Sass and Bide, and was drawn to it because of the shimmery, maroon-to-pink fabric and detail on the shoulders and hips. I’ve picked out a few other dresses here and here to inspire your perfect party look too.

Just add sky-high heels, a bit of bling, and you’re ready to dance the night away.
