Blue Jean Baby

Blue denim never goes out of style. I don’t know that there has been any point in my life when my wardrobe didn’t boast a pair of jeans that were well worn and well loved. When I was growing up, although you might see the occasional denim skirt or jacket (and boy, haven’t they made a comeback in the last few years), I can never remember seeing denim dresses.

They’ve been popping up everywhere lately and I’ve been biding my time and waiting for just the right one. Last weekend, I finally found it, and isn’t it cute! Who could resist those ruffles? I’m not going to pretend I even tried to.

I thought of a thousand ways I could style this little number. My favourite way to wear my (imitation, as this dress is actually cotton) denim though is to go for a fresh look with crisp white, cool light blues, sharp silver or on-trend tan. This combination was everywhere last summer and here’s hoping it surfaces again this year.
