Well summer has certainly hit Australia with a vengeance! It’s normally my favourite season, but I’ll be the first to raise my hand and admit that I have been suffering through the past two weeks. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve wished for ice cream or a swimming pool, I’d never have to work another day in my life.
We aren’t officially in summer yet either, and I’m already doing everything I can to beat the heat. I’ve noticed that I’ve been favouring a white colour palette recently. There just seems to be an abundance of flowing, loose-fitting clothes that are perfect for surviving the kinds of temperatures we are currently experiencing, and they are all white!
I’ve added links here, here, here, here and here to a few of my favourite white pieces for this season, although the one currently sitting at the top of the list is this linen Seed Heritage skirt. From the ankle length to the button detailing, I just can’t get enough, and it’s so comfy!
It’s just as perfect paired with a t-shirt and sneakers as it is with a chambray shirt and sandals. Today I decided to go head-to-toe white with this crocheted top. Apart from those flirty little sleeves, the best part about this top is the natural ventilation- yes, I’m THAT desperate.
Short of taking up residence in a fridge, I don’t quite know how I’m going to make it through to 2017. For now I’ll keep dressing with a mind to comfort and heat survival, and I’ll keep you all updated on how I go.
