One of my favourite things in the whole world is high tea. I still remember the first time I went to one, and no matter how many times I go, I still get excited beforehand.
Besides the fact that you have a literal tower of dessert sitting in front of you, it’s the chance to dig out your prettiest dress and spend some time indulging yourself.
I’ve realised recently that at all my favourite high tea outings, I’ve been wearing yellow. My 21st birthday was a high tea and I wore marigold yellow, the first time I introduced my parents to high tea I wore a little sunshine dress and for my 23rd birthday, where I remember laughing hard enough to crack a rib I wore pastel yellow.
It’s a total coincidence, but it’s a tradition I don’t mind carrying on, especially when I stumbled across this Alice McCall dress. It’s called “Butter Blossom”, even that name jumps out at me as perfect.

I can’t say it was love at first sight, but this dress grew on me so much that it’s now my favourite thing in my wardrobe- for high teas and any other outing that comes my way.

Looks like your dress will rival any number of butter blossoms!
