We are all guilty of looking through our wardrobes and thinking, “I have nothing to wear”. I’m trying to do that as little as possible this year (one of many resolutions) and am instead trying to find ways to recycle my favourites. It’s a hard thing to do when you are going through a bit of a style evolution.
For example, I have done a complete about-face regarding patterns. When I look through photos from when we first started The Professional Cinderella, I see the odd striped shirt here and there, but for the most part all my clothes were block colours.
Now that I find myself gravitating towards patterns, I often feel a bit boring or incomplete if I don’t break up my outfit with a fun print or different texture. I’m trying to combine some old favourite separates with a few new patterned pieces to facilitate this new preference, but one occasion that I caved on, and I felt definitely warranted a new outfit was my birthday.
Dress, Camilla and Marc, Boots, Alannah Hill (similar here), Bag, Mimco, Earrings, Najo and Samantha Wills, Ring, Samantha Wills
This Camilla and Marc dress fit the bill perfectly. I’ve always been a fan of florals, and they don’t get any prettier than these pink blooms. I’ve chosen a few prettily patterned pieces here, here, here and here for you to peruse and update your wardrobe with.
