There a few things that I will just keep going back to: floral prints, delicate jewellery, bows, pink, and gingham.
For me, there’s nothing quite so quintessentially “spring” as gingham. It reminds me of picnics in the sun on dandelion-strewn grass and dinners in family-owned Italian restaurants, sitting at little tables on the pavement on warm evenings.
I’ve always loved gingham dresses and skirts with white cotton tops, but that was until I came across this top. I love the ballooned sleeves, the tie waist, and the fresh blue.

I actually bought this top at the beginning of summer, but this year was so hot I couldn’t bear anything with a sleeve. Now that it’s getting a little bit cooler, it’s the perfect partner for light-wash denim and neutral accessories.
I’ve added a few of my favourite Gingham pieces here, here, here and here.
