Ruffles and Sneakers

Hi everyone! I’m sorry for my absence and lack of posts. It’s just that time of year when everything is happening and sometimes priorities have to shift to accommodate it all. In my last post I shared with you a peach jumpsuit that I was absolutely obsessing over, and this week I’ve found a piece to rival it.

It’s another winner from Seed Heritage, this cute-as-hell ruffled skirt. I’ve owned a few ruffled pieces over the years, but this skirt, with it’s periwinkle blue colour and light cotton fabric, is the perfect piece to add to a spring wardrobe. I’m high-waisted and sometimes find that skirts make my bottom half look a bit pear-shaped, but this one is super flattering with a wide fitted waist band and the ruffles spilling out from the hip bones.

Skirt, Seed Heritage, Top, AJE (also like this one and this one), Shoes, Superga via Designer Forum, Bag, Kate Spade (similar here), Bracelets, Mimco (similar here), Pandora and Pandora, Earrings, Mimco (similar here) and Samantha Wills (similar here)

Today’s look is all about casual comfort. You may have noticed what a huge fan I am of lace-up flatforms. These Superga canvas ones are fast becoming my go-to shoes, but I’m also looking forward to ditching them for a strappy heel, adding a bit of sparkle and taking this skirt out after-dark as we get into Summer.

Okay I am officially going to have to confiscate these shoes! If only I had an event coming up that required them! Ps. I really need them…
