You all know how much I love pink, and that I’m a big fan of floral, but the thing I love most about this playsuit is the little lace detail on the back. It’s whimsical little touches like this that, in my opinion, elevate a piece from everyday wear to something a little more special.
When I buy a piece like this, I often struggle with what to pair it with. My initial reaction is to dress everything up, which can be an annoying habit, as I’m often left with nothing suitable for meandering through a Sunday in. I’ve been trying to make a conscious effort to add things to my wardrobe that are casual and comfortable, but this playsuit sits somewhere in no-man’s-land, too nice to pair with flat sandals or sneakers but not dressy enough to go all out with.
Enter this season’s must-have shoe, a pump made with a mind to comfort with a distinct vintage feel. With its stocky heel and high sides, it’s the ultimate smart/casual shoe. I think they’d be the perfect work-to-play shoe, and am already planning to wear mine with cropped jeans.
