When I was growing up, jeans were a very functional part of my wardrobe. I wore them when the weather got too cold to wear shorts or dresses, and they were usually just casual pants that got thrown on with a sweater. What they were not was fashionable.
These days my collection of denim has grown from 1 to 10 pairs, and I can’t believe some of the really cool things that designers are doing with denim.
The jeans I used to wear were so stiff and it was often such an ordeal to put them on. Plus I’ve always had big issues with the length- who wants half the pant leg bunched around their ankle?
2018 seems to have the solution to both my gripes. Every pair of jeans I pick up now is softer, more malleable material, and with all the cropped styles now available, shorties like me can find jeans that actually fit!
My current favourites are these wide-leg Seed Heritage jeans. They are so soft, and I love the cuff detail. As well as functional, jeans can be such a style statement these days. I’ve linked a few of my favourites here, here and here to give you some inspiration.
