Elevated Blue and White

Hello everyone, and a very happy 2021! Let’s hope this year gives us all some much needed positive energy! One of my resolutions is to try and make a little more time to jump on here- I’ve missed writing regularly. I thought I’d kick things off with one of my all-time favourite combinations, blue and white.

Blue and white is such a classic pairing, and one I find myself reaching for year in and year out. From fashion to crockery, linens and vases, you can’t go past blue and white for a timeless and fail-safe option. Whether you prefer florals, stripes, gingham, polka dots or a toile print, blue and white is the perfect addition to your summer or spring wardrobe. See below for some of my favourite options.

I wore this outfit late last year (that’s how behind I am) to an open-air performance of the Queensland Ballet. It was such a treat for us after a year where so much had been put on hold or cancelled. I have always treated going to the ballet with reverence, and a need to dress up, but as some of the audience would be sitting on picnic rugs, I wanted to wear something that would be comfortable and reflect the more relaxed setting. I took this blue and white Wiggy Kit dress, which I bought for a holiday in 2019, and added this embellished headband and some statement earrings to elevate it to something evening-appropriate.
