Everyone loves a bit of vintage and a throwback when it comes to fashion, and everyone has their favourite era. Maybe you’re a 70’s darling and know how to rock flares, or you have a soft spot for drop-waist dresses a la 1920’s.
Hello everyone! I hope you’ve all had a good weekend and an even better start to your week. I thought I’d give you today’s post to brighten your Monday, as it’s chock-full of colour.
One of the best feelings when it comes to fashion is discovering a new combination of old favourites that you didn’t realise could go together. I often find that by about the third time I wear an outfit, I’ve got the accessories down-pat and I’m wearing my favourite version.
When I was little, I had a whole series of fairy books by Shirley Barber. She was the author and illustrator, and her illustrations were really something. Her fae were always lithe limbed, with gossamer dresses, spectacular wings, and an abundance of flowers woven through their hair.
I really have a thing for lemon print on fabric. It’s cute, fresh and generally reminds me of photos I have seen of Italy. Lemons seem to go hand-in-hand with beautifully tiled walls and the postcard-perfect rainbow towns that run along the Amalfi Coast.
I just love dressing up for a night out, particularly if you have the time to do it properly. There is no better feeling than having an outfit that you have bought especially for an occasion, and finally putting it on, going through your own unique ritual to get ready while the anticipation builds in…
I LOVE summer clothes. I know I have maybe mentioned that once (or a thousand) times before, but seriously, who can resist all these gorgeous pieces in sorbet shades that keep hitting shelves everywhere.
