I should really be padding out my winter wardrobe at this time of year. In a few weeks I’ll be in Sydney (which is significantly colder than where I live), and I’ll be needing scarves, boots and knitwear.
If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you’ll know I’m a bit fan of white and blue. As we near the end of our warm-weather season, and khakis and blacks start filling shelves, I’m taking as many opportunities as I can to squeeze in time in bright, happy and fresh colours.
One of the best feelings when it comes to fashion is discovering a new combination of old favourites that you didn’t realise could go together. I often find that by about the third time I wear an outfit, I’ve got the accessories down-pat and I’m wearing my favourite version.
I look back at my days as a full-time dance student with affection and nostalgia. Being in the studio was physically gruelling, and at times emotionally shattering, but the hard times were off-set by the amazing people I shared my journey with, and some of the interesting memories we made along the way.
This time last week I was writing a post about all the essentials that I thought every woman should have in her wardrobe. Personally, the number one thing on my list is a white shirt.
